Individual Coaching is a great way to work on your personal development

When coaching individuals, designing leadership programmes or working with (parts of) an organization, I might suggest to use one of the tools below. All these to me are a means to an end, a starting point for a development journey.
What is it?
MBTI is a powerful personality type assessment. It gives you an understanding of where your preference lies when it comes to:
- Where you prefer to get or focus your energy
- The kind of information you prefer to gather and trust
- The process you prefer to use in coming to decisions
- How you prefer to deal with the world around you
Knowing your preferences helps you to understand yourself and others better.
How do I use it?
- In personal coaching to provide a deep understanding of why you operate the way you do. And how communication with others, with different personality types, might become more effective.
- In development programmes and when working with teams, for reasons similar to those with individual coaching. With teams in particular it can boost more effective communication amongst the team members.
What is it?
ESCI stands for Emotional and Social Competency Inventory.
Emotional and social intelligence makes the difference between a highly effective leader and an average one. The real benefit comes from the 360° view into the behaviours that differentiate outstanding from average performers. It helps managers and professionals create competitive advantage for their organizations by increasing performance, innovation and teamwork, ensuring time and resources are used effectively, and building motivation and trust.
